Partner event of ITB Berlin announces first highlights of the event
From 6 to 8 March 2020 the Berlin Travel Festival will be taking place for the third time at Arena Berlin. Visitors to the partner event of ITB Berlin can look forward to a wide range of change-makers, brands and industry insiders and find out about travel trends now and in the future. This event, which is taking place in Berlin Kreuzberg, targets a new generation of travellers who can relate closely to sustainability, adventure and new media. Exhibitors scheduled to take part include destinations from around the world.
Australia will be strongly represented for example, with several of its states attending. Visit Brandenburg will impress visitors with its activities, ranging from hiking to surfing. Azerbaijan will have information on highlights in the Caucasus region, and South Tyrol will present its unique combination of Alpine mountains and a Mediterranean lifestyle.
Represented for the first time, MOB Hotel from France will show how stylish accommodation can come at affordable prices. The company already has two hotels in Lyon and Paris and another is being planned in Washington D.C. Beyond the Standard will present its itineraries for fans of surfing, snow and motorcycling. The rucksack specialist Eastpak will show off its lifestyle gear range for today’s urban jungle.
The Friday of the event will belong to trade visitors. Events will include the Travel Massive Future Lab, with travel experts holding presentations and discussions on the latest trends. Travel retail professionals will be able to exchange views at the Shop Shift conference, and the Creator’s Lounge will function as a matchmaking event for influencers and brands.
At the Berlin Travel Festival numerous speakers will ensure that visitors discover their lust for travel. The YouTuber and entrepreneur Fynn Kliemann, who has worked on creating a skating park in Syria, will talk about ’Kliemannsland’, a utopian community project just outside Hamburg. Lea Rieck, an author and motorcycling enthusiast, will provide an insight into her global travels. Together with the audience, the biologist and survivalist Manuel Larbig will share his knowledge on how to live in nature using only basic techniques. Tom Belz will fascinate visitors with the story of his one-legged climb on crutches up Kilimanjaro. Finally, Michael Schulz of @berlinstagram will have fascinating tips and advice on how to create a successful Instagram account.
The Berlin Travel Festival is being held parallel with ITB Berlin. Taking place at Arena Berlin in the hip quarter of Berlin Kreuzberg, the event augments the World’s Largest Travel Trade Show with its unusually fresh and unconventional approach.
