New feature: object searches function directly from a map
Secra’s ’Optimale Präsentation’ (OP) is an efficient destination management system for successful tourism professionals. The OP’s front end search function lets guests select their accommodation using various filters, including the type of accommodation, number of persons and other criteria.
Just in time for ITB Berlin, a map-based search function has been added that lets users filter results from an on-screen map window. Thus, two features now make searching for objects easier: a list on the left-hand side and a map on the right. The Open Street Map link can be configured – and optionally, support is available from Google Maps via soft key.
Every selected object appears as an individual pin on the map. and an object popup contains a link to the accommodation in question. The pins appear in clusters for enhanced performance and usability. Users only recognise each one when scrolling past them closely.
If a user sets a filter then the selected accommodation is marked in colour on the map. All objects visible in the list are also highlighted in the map window. Running the mouse over an entry highlights objects in the list and on the map, which also aids orientation.
OP by Secra offers even more advantages: whenever an additional object is selected the map automatically adjusts the map window size and zoom level to correspond with the screen resolution and the selected objects and displays each object equally clearly.
At ITB Berlin the company’s team will be available on the stand to explain the advantages to interested visitors.
