Am Fachbesucherfreitag des digitalen We Love Travel! Events drehte sich die zweite CSR Session – Human Rights & Recovery –um die Frage, wie sich der Diversity-Aspekt beim Neustart der Branche berücksichtigen lässt. Zu Gast in dem von Rika Jean-Francois moderierten Panel waren Thomas Bömkes von Diversity Travel, Philip Ibrahim, General Manager des Student Hotels in Berlin sowie online zugeschaltet Reginald Charlot von NYC & Company, dem offiziellen Fremdenverkehrsamt von New York City, und Antje Monshausen von Round Table for Human Rights.

Diversity as an important part of the industry recovery: The role of diversity, equal rights and human rights in tourism

On the Friday for trade visitors at the virtual We Love Travel! event the focus of the second CSR session entitled ’Human Rights & Recovery’ was on whether the industry recovery can take diversity into account. Taking part in the panel discussion moderated by Rika Jean-Francois were Thomas Bömkes from Diversity Travel, Philip Ibrahim, general manager of the Student Hotel in Berlin, and live from New York, Reginald Charlot from NYC & Company, the official tourism marketing organisation of New York City, and Antje Monshausen from the Round Table for Human Rights.

ITB Berlin presents a short overview of the new UNWTO report on LGBT tourism, the successful ITB LGBT Academy held in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan, last August and an update of new developments at the LGBT segment at ITB Berlin 2018.

The Pink Pavilion at ITB Asia is back with more exhibitors than ever before. The new exhibitors Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas and Avani Hotels & Resorts will give an overview of their Gayfriendly properties in Asia.
