Air Astana mit neuen Flügen nach Taschkent

From 1 April the national airline of Kazakhstan, Air Astana, is introducing a new service four times each week, from Frankfurt to Tashkent via a transfer in Astana. The Uzbek capital is the latest addition to the network, and the transit time is less than two hours, according to Sven Gossow, Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Tourists and business travellers can also take advantage of the fact that Uzbekistan has abolished the visa requirements for citizens of these three countries for journeys of up to 30 days. The best transit connection is still to the Chinese city of Urumqi, which can be reached much faster via Kazahkstan than via Beijing. For passengers in transit Air Astana offers a stopover with an overnight stay, breakfast and transfer for the symbolic price of just one euro. The fleet is being updated, and from October the Boeing 757 will be replaced by the Airbus A321neo.
