Berlin Travel Festival: New meeting point for travel-loving millennials

Berlin travel festival

The Berlin Travel Festival will take place next year for the first time and is intended to be a complementary event to ITB Berlin, not competition. A preview will be arranged at the Marshall-Haus for visitors of this year's ITB Berlin. Conceptually, the preview is a successful mix of interactive exhibition and a stage programme under the motto "People, Places and Memories." Experts from around the world who have something to say to representatives of the target group are invited to the programme items presented on the trade days, such as "New Ways of Traveling" or "Wednesday is the New Saturday." The Berlin Travel Festival’s target group is clearly defined: it is millennials who have grown up with digital media, who have travel needs different from the conventional holidaymaking classes, and "whose online world we want to bring into reality," as Bernd Neff, one of the three partners of the newly founded I love Travel GmbH, explained. The company is the initiator and sponsor of the Berlin Travel Festival, which is supported and promoted by Messe Berlin, always on the lookout for touristic innovation. The first festival will take place next year from 9 to 11 March in Berlin at Arena, an event venue in Kreuzberg popular among the target audience. It is a mixture of a concept store for consumers and an innovative trade show for the industry. The first day of the festival is also the last trade day of ITB Berlin; combination tickets will be issued for trade visitors. The second and third day of the festival is dedicated to Berliners and visitors to Berlin.
