Even more space for culture! At this year’s ITB Berlin, the CULTURE LOUNGE – the official culture platform for the world’s largest travel fair - will be set not only in a new location but in a hall devoted entirely to culture. The CULTURE LOUNGE, which has grown consistently over the years, is moving from Hall 8 to Hall 16 – ideally situated between the popular destinations of Austria, Switzerland and Poland. This year, the stands of some 7o exhibitors will be found in a dedicated area of approximately 6oo square meters.
The new hall itself is an architectural highlight: Representatives of the cultural sector from home and abroad will introduce their latest culture projects and prospective exhibitions in the special setting of the Rotunda, alongside familiar and new destinations, including museums, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and cultural service providers. Indonesia, this year’s Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair, will also be present. This year, the ambiente of the CULTURE LOUNGE will be underlined with a special artistic accent: a light installation by Forum InterArt from Dortmund.
As before, travel companies can meet up with important disseminators and journalists in the CULTURE LOUNGE at the exhibitors’ bar or at a rendez-vous in the CULTURE CAFÉ. In addition, the CULTURE CONFERENCE LOUNGE again offers a wealth of interesting talks and presentations on such topics as current projects, the cultural partnership with Deutsche Bahn (German rail) or social media in the cultural sector and network meetings. A list of exhibitors and the programme for the CULTURE CONFERENCE LOUNGE will be available on the internet shortly at www.culturelounge.de.
