Egypt is represented at ITB 2019 with an ultra-modern high-tech stand
This year Egypt is represented with an ultra-modern stand and bringing ancient history back to life. A number of destinations around the country are presenting all kinds of experiences. They include Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Marsa Alam and El Gouna. Visitors will also be able to savour Egyptian cuisine and magical music from the land of the pharaohs.
A delegation accompanying Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat comprising members of the tourist board and leading representatives of Egypt’s private tourism sector will highlight the many facets of the country. One important topic will be the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest museum devoted to one civilisation. Once it has opened in 2020 visitors will be able to make use of a whole range of interactive features so that those interested in history can find out more about the approximately 50,000 artefacts.
