At ITB Berlin Belgien Tourismus will be presenting La Boverie, the new museum of modern and contemporary art, which opens in Liège on 5 May.
A re-opening in collaboration with the Louvre and Centre Pompidou: the Musée d’art moderne et d’art contemporain (MAMAC) in Liège, located in the former palace that hosted the World Fair of 1905, and which closed in 2013, has been renovated by the architect Rudy Ricciotti, winner of the Grand Prix national de L’architecture, and has received a new wing occupying an additional 4,000 square metres.
Situated on an island on the River Meuse, in collaboration with the Louvre the museum of modern and contemporary art La Boverie will open its doors again on 5 May and will host an exhibition of Impressionists entitled ’En plein air’ which runs until 20 August. From 22 September 2016 to 29 January 2017, in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou ’21, Rue La Boétie’ will exhibit the collection and life of the Paris-born Jewish art dealer Paul Rosenberg.
