Qatar Airways is looking forward to welcoming all ITB Berlin attendees to visit its booth and experience the state-of-the-art airline’s A380 and A350 XWB Business Class seats. The airline, as the global launch customer, introduced the world’s first A350 service on route between Frankfurt and Doha on January 15, 2015. Qatar Airways has been instrumental in the innovative design, working closely with the designer Airbus and the engine manufacturer Rolls- Royce. The 283 seats are divided into a two class configuration of 36 seats in business class and 247 seats in economy class. More comfort is provided by the spacious luggage compartments and more seat space. In business class the illuminated dome in the ceiling and panoramic windows with electro-mechanical shades provide more light. With a touch-screen remote control passengers have access to a wide range of entertainment on full-HD screens.
This year’s participation in ITB Berlin is also significant for Qatar Airways as it marks the 10-year anniversary since the airline commenced its operations to Berlin, the German capital. In the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2014 Qatar Airways was presented with awards for Best Business Class in the World, Best Airline in the Middle East and Best Business Class Airline Lounge in the World.
The five-star airline will hold a press conference, hosted by His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, on the first day of ITB Berlin.
