Due to high demand Thai Airways International has increased its flights from Germany and China to Phuket. One of its two daily flights between Frankfurt and Bangkok will now stop over in Phuket three times a week, and the same applies to flights from Beijing. It means that passengers no longer need to change in Bangkok. Starting on 1 May, a new Airbus A350 will operate on one of the flights in and out of Frankfurt, said Bryan Banston, vice president of the Sales Department, at ITB Berlin 2017. The airline is making every effort to market its home airport as a hub offering easy connections to Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. One in four passengers from Germany already change flights in Bangkok.
