Malaysia ITB Berlin Partnerland 2019

The focus of this year’s ITB Berlin was on the partner country Malaysia. After a spectacular performance which launched the show at the opening ceremony of ITB Berlin the country displayed an abundance of colour, attractions and entertainment in various halls on the other days of the show. A variety of dance ensembles which had come to Berlin from different parts of Malaysia performed culturally-themed dances in beautiful traditional costumes.

The Royal Selangor Golf Club, the country’s oldest golf course, is one of 40 in Kuala Lumpur. It has two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole Suleiman established in 1893.

In his welcome address Moosa Zameer, the tourism minister of the Maldives, underlined the story of his country’s economic success which he had already talked about at the opening of the Destination Day at the ITB Berlin Convention: “Despite the many obstacles we have managed to become a holiday destination.“
